Holy Basil Glycerite

Holy basil, Ocimum tenuiflorum, also known as tulsi in Ayurvedic medicine, is one of my favorite adaptogens. Adaptogens are a class of medicinal herbs that increase the body's resistance to physical, chemical, and biological stressors; they help us adapt to stress, in a very broad sense of the word. Use holy basil regularly to protect against diseases of environmental toxicity.

Holy basil improves resistance to stress and has a normalizing influence on blood pressure and blood sugar imbalances.

Energetically, holy basil promotes spiritual connection and purification of the soul, and feelings of love compassion, and peace.

Holy basil tastes spicy, aromatic, more like cinnamon than basil, and this glycerin preparation is incredibly sweet and yummy.

One ounce contains 15 2-mL servings. This dosage is for a 150 pound adult. It may be adjusted in proportion to the weight of the user. For instance, a 30lb child would take 1/5 of the 2mL dose, or 2/5mL, about half a dropperful. We are happy to help determine the appropriate dosage.

If you want to test out the medicine, buy one ounce. If you know you want to take this medicine daily at its intended dosage for one month, buy at least two ounces.
