About Full Flower Herbs
Full Flower Herbs is a vessel for the healing that Earth and medicine plants wish to share with us. We aspire to faithfully capture the healing properties of the herbs and let their beauty shine in our remedies.
Our small but mighty team of two mamas craft healing medicinal herb extracts with integrity and intention. Made in small batches–think large glass mason jars–our tinctures, extracts, and salves, are thoughtfully formulated to remedy common ailments. We source our ingredients from small, local farms, our garden, bioregional wild harvesting, and certified Organic farms, and use fresh herbs as much as possible. We especially love making medicine with abundant, weedy plants.
Reciprocity and care for the Earth and our Medicine Plant kin is at the center of our practice. We sing to the plants, and may give a drink of creek water or other little offerings before harvest. It is our sacred obligation to be aware of our effect on the plants we rely on and to appreciate and reciprocate their gifts. This slow and thoughtful process results in potent, ecologically friendly medicine for body and spirit.
Our People
Lindsay Perry, Founder and Community Herbalist
Hi friends! I'm Lindsay. Mom to two sweet kids, plant nerd, devotee to Mama Earth. I founded Full Flower Herbs out of a desire to make connections between people and medicinal plants. I am a lifelong student of herbalism and the plant world. I have been studying and working with herbs for about a decade and a half. I have studied with primarily North Carolina based teachers, most notably Terra Sylva School of Botanical Medicine, Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, and Abundance Healing Arts.
I am trained in a Western vitalist herbalism. I use herbs to balance energetics, nourish the body, and assist the vital force to do its healing work. Here, you won’t find remedies that suppress our body’s natural tendencies, but rather, that support the work the body naturally knows to do to heal itself–for example, stimulating expectorants to assist the body’s natural tendency to thin and expel congealed mucous from the lungs.
It is an honor and a privilege to serve you and walk with you along your herbal journey. Thank you for your interest in Full Flower Herbs. May the magic of the plants bring you beauty and healing.
Rose Vandercapellen, Apothecary Assistant and Community Herbalist
Fascinated by the world of plants and their healing potential, Rose embarked on her herbalism journey in 2020, studying at Green Wisdom Herbal Studies in Long Beach, California under the guidance of Julie James. Since then, her passion for herbalism has only grown, leading her to continue learning and practice independently, most recently collaborating with Lindsay at Full Flower Herbs.
Rose finds immense joy in getting to know the unique properties of each plant and sharing this knowledge with her kids and others. She believes plants offer a powerful path to connect with the earth and promote well-being.
